Annoying KDE apps icon warnings

Whenever I start a kde app from shell I get hundreds of these icon warnings

kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/hicolor/ group 48x48/stock/navigation not valid.

which makes it impossible to find the important error messages. It’s an open bug in kde
but there is a way to turn it off as quoted in this thread:

$ kdebugdialog --fullmode
select: debug area: 264 kdecore (KIconLoader)
Change the Warning Output to "None"
select: OK
